Hi, I’m Yaa
A loctician working from a small studio in Moseley, Birmingham. Starter locs, retwists, repairs and styling, at a gentle pace, with your hair’s health first.
I’ve been looking after locs for over a decade. Some of my clients I’ve seen from their very first comb coils, and it’s a real privilege to watch a set of locs grow and mature over the years.
I take one client at a time and I don’t rush a retwist. Light tension, clean roots and honest advice, so your locs stay healthy between visits as well as on the day.
How I work
Roots first
Light tension every time. A neat retwist shouldn’t hurt, and it shouldn’t thin your roots over the years.
One client at a time
You have the studio and my attention for the whole appointment. Bring headphones and a drink for the longer sessions.
Booking that sticks
Book online and a deposit holds your slot. It comes off the final price, and 48 hours’ notice moves it if life happens.
Before your appointment
Come with your locs clean and dry unless you’ve booked a wash. For colour or anything permanent, we’ll need a patch test first, so book that in ahead of the day.
